Independent Financial Advice Report - July 2012
As people are living longer their experience of later life is changing and their needs for services and products are also changing. This is the case across a range of issues, including the need for independent financial advice and products. This paper brings together evidence from public sources and findings from a dialogue between members of the Elders Council of Newcastle, financial industry professionals and members of the not-for-profit advice sector. The Elders Council of Newcastle and Quality of Life Partnership worked with Changing Age for Business and Riseborough Research and Consultancy Associates to conduct this phase of the work. We welcome feedback on this paper and will be seeking partners to work with us on addressing a number of the issues raised in the paper.
