Working Groups: The Communication Group

The Communication Group consists of four sub-groups.

1. The Readers Group
Have you ever picked up a leaflet and then put it down in frustration because you didn’t understand it? This group comments on leaflets from different agencies with the aim of making sure that materials are clear and easy to read. If you are interested in becoming a member of this group, please contact Kaye Turner on kaye.turner@qualityoflife.org.uk or telephone 0191 255 1984.

2. Everyone’s tomorrow – today!, the Elders Council radio programme
On the first Friday of every month from 2pm till 4pm and repeated on the following Monday 10am till 12noon, the Elders Council broadcasts its own radio programme, on 102.5 FM. If you are interested in joining the team, please get in touch with Steve Whitley on 0191 233 0200.

3. The newsletter
The group is also responsible for publishing the Elders Council newsletter six times a year, in February, April, June, August, October and December. If you would like to join the small editorial group, please get in touch with Steve Whitley on 0191 233 0200.

4. The website
And we oversee this website (www.elderscouncil.org.uk). If you have any comments, please let us know by going to the "You Tell Us" section; if you would like to join this sub-group, please contact Kaye Turner on kaye.turner@qualityoflife.org.uk or telephone 0191 255 1984.
