Elders Council of Newcastle

Having worked in the older people support sector for some time, I felt that I knew a bit about the Elders Council so, when the role of Development Worker came up, I was keen to apply. Here I am and very much looking forward to getting into the developmental work that the Elders Council does.

I have been working in the city for some ten years, so know of organisations and where they are and have a strong base of community development skills to bring.

 

I live in the West of Gateshead and I am in my sixties myself and can empathise with certain issues that have a bearing on older people.Being a strong advocate for social justice and empowering people, I feel that there is a challenge ahead and that we all at the EldersCouncil will give a strong voice to older people.
