About Alan Gowers
After a career in consulting and project management in UK and overseas my wife and I settled in Newcastle, where we have strong family connections.
I have deep interests in, health, care, community and fitness activities
I have been a member of EC for 9 years. I believe it is a listening organisation and represents and communicates widely in the best interests of older persons in Newcastle
I have been a trustee of EC for two, three year terms. So I have a good knowledge of the organisation, its governance and communications with members and partner organisations
I currently represent EC on the Board of Future Homes Alliance, am an alternate Older People's Housing Champions, temporary chair of EC’s Housing. Health and Social Care work, member of the Finance & Funding Committee as well as on several other outside committees/ meetings.
I believe I have made some positive contributions to the organisation as a volunteer and trustee and hope to continue to do so.
