Most of us have our favourite Charity Shops - as places to pick up a bargain, or as ways to get rid of unwanted items, whether it is clothes, books or household items.

But what happens to all the items we donate, and to the cash generated for the charities?

We will be welcoming representatives of two of our local charity shops, to answer these questions, and more.

Wellbeing for Life meetings normally take place on the first Wednesday of each month, in Jesmond Library. Each month's meeting has a different theme, all within the overall context of the Five Ways to Wellbeing.

All are welcome to join us, but the meetings are primarily for older people.

Refreshments are provided and the Community Minibus may be available if transport is an issue for you. Attendance is free, but donations help cover the cost of refreshments. Please email events@jesmondlibrary.org if you…
