About the event
Join us for a conversation with Chi Onwurah MP (Central Newcastle) and Shadow Minister for Science, Research and Digital on Friday 24th February 11.00 am – 12.30 pm (doors open at 10.30 am) at Brunswick Methodist Church (by Fenwick’s) on the pros and cons of going digital. Before entering Parliament, Chi Onwurah was a professional engineer, a career she talks about on The Life Scientific BBC Radio 4 - The Life Scientific - The Life Scientific: Chi Onwurah. After the conversation, there will also be an opportunity to hear about the support available in the city to help you to get on-line and learn new skills. What do you think? What kinds of technology make your life easier? What do you want to learn more about? When does technology create barriers for you? Whether you hate it or love it, we’d like you to join our conversation. The event will be chaired by Professor Rose Gilroy, Chair of Age Friendly Newcastle.
