As Volunteers Week 2026 arrives, we want to take this opportunity to recognise and thank all our volunteers for the incredible contribution you make to the Elders Council of Newcastle. Your time, compassion, and commitment means so much - not only to us as a charity but to all older people who benefit from your involvement.

Volunteers like you are involved in every aspect of our work. Your impact, whether it’s through sharing personal experiences, governing our charity, delivering outreach sessions, supporting others, doing admin or stuffing envelopes is felt and appreciated every single day.

Your generosity of time helps create connection, hope and real progress for those in our city who need it most.
